Delsu sacks 6 lecturers, demotes another 4

   Six lecturers of the Delta State University, Abraka have been sacked by the governing council of the institution for various offences ranging from extortion, sexual harassment, leaking of examination questions, to bribery and corruption.
  The sack of these lecturers comes on the heels of the recommendation by the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee of the University who indicted the lecturers for the offences. Meanwhile, four others were demoted and received various degrees of query for their conducts.
  The dismissed lecturers are: Mr. M.O. Ovrawah, Dr. A.C. Okolo, Mr. O.E. Akpobi, Mr. S.A Eyenubo, Dr. J.O.T. Emudianhohwo and Mr. A.C. Akpokiniovo. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. V.F. Peretemode used the medium to admonish lecturers in DELSU to desist from any form of anti-official rudiments, stating that henceforth, any lecturer found wanting will face the penalty of sack without without benefit. Also, Prof. V.F Peretemode adviced female students to be modest in their dressing to lecture halls and lecturers’ offices to avoid sexual intimidation, lust and harassment.
